40 Days for Life

September 24th - November 2nd, 2008

The 40 Days for Life North Dakota committee is excited to announce our participation in the national 40 Days for Life campaign again this year.  Communities across our state will be uniting with more than 173 cities in 45 states and DC for the largest simultaneous pro-life mobilization in history from September 24th – November 2nd.  You can be part of this peaceful, prayerful effort to end abortion in our state and nation by praying at the abortion facility in Fargo, taking part in 40 Days for Life events, and working within your parish to promote efforts of prayer and fasting among your parishioners.

Two events are planned to help parishes prepare for our local 40 Days for Life effort.  A meeting for interested persons and parish coordinators will be held Tuesday, August 26th, 7 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel, 201 5th Street North, Fargo.

A sidewalk counselor training will be held Tuesday, September 2nd, 7-9 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel, 201 5th Street North, Fargo, for persons interested in serving as sidewalk counselors outside the abortion facility.  Elizabeth McClung and Laura Barker from Life Coalition in College Station Texas, will offer the training.

To register for either event, or to know more about how you can take part in 40 Days for Life North Dakota visit: www.40daysforlifend.com or call in Fargo; 701-356-7910, or call the Pregnancy Help Center;  701-284-6601, or e-mail: phc@polarcomm.com

Case study on Fargo ND

UNTIL IT CLOSES!

And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night!” (Luke 18:7)

This verse comes within the context of Jesus’ parable about the persistent widow. The judge granted her justice because she persisted in coming to Him.
During the 40 Days for Life (actually 50) we turned our hearts and minds to our Heavenly Father and He heard our cry.  Lives were saved and many hearts were changed.
Now that God has “begun a good work in us, ” now that He has renewed us in our faith, He is asking us to forge ahead.  We believe that God is now asking us to be a permanent and peaceful prayer presence at the abortion facility.
We are encouraging all churches of every denomination to participate, as abortion affects each one of us.  Our goal is to obtain a  “contact” person from each church to further promote this endeavor.
If you or someone you know is interested in helping us by setting aside an hour to pray or being a contact person for your church, please let us know via e-mail @ phc@polarcomm.com or call us at 356-7979.
Thank you so much for your willingness to sacrifice your time and energy in defending the defenseless.  Let us continue to act upon God’s truth in love until the day when no more children die and no more women and men cry from the pain of losing a child through abortion.

In Christ:
